The reintroduction of the Python has been a historic event, to say the least. It's a solid mix containing the best of the old with performance and strength improvements. The evolution of this fine revolver has been brilliantly executed.
HEFFRON PRECISION© has offered industry-leading action-tuning and trigger-tuning for decades. When the NEW Python was introduced, we acquired one and immediately went to work. Our PRECISION ACTION TUNING & TRIGGER TUNING© elevates these revolvers to a higher level of performance. We have tuned well over 500 New Pythons! Our tuned 2020 Pythons have butter-smooth actions, slicker double-action pulls, and a light, crisp, and creep-free single-action trigger pull (a bonus for single-action shooters), and a snappy trigger return (a bonus for double-action shooters).
When we are done the single-action trigger pull will be a CRISP 2.75 - 3.00 lbs and the double-action trigger pull will be 8.75 - 9.0 lbs with a slick trigger return. WE DO NOT ALTER SPRINGS. These improvements are achieved by precision polishing in key areas and 1 minor geometric alteration that creates a World-Class single-action trigger pull. The double-action trigger pull will seem "perpetual" in nature for rapid firing. We spend several hours tuning a New Python.
When we engineered this custom service, we specifically identified where polishing was needed. We identified 1 area where a minor change of geometry was needed to achieve a crisp and light single-action trigger pull. We have successfully applied this research to create the most smooth and slick Colts ever.
