"Serial Number 55459. Made in 1880. 45LC caliber with a 7 ½" barrel. This is a cavalry model inspected by David F Clark. Very fine gun with traces of blue in protected areas. Bright case colors remain on the frame forward of the cylinder. Grips are very good with visible cartouches dated 1880. Gun is all matching. The hammer is a later replacement. Action works well. This gun comes with a letter of Authentication from John Kopec. Mr. Kopec says this gun was most likely issued to the state of Ohio. Very nice example of a nice DFC Colt Cavalry Model!
