I have collected Anschutz rifles for many years. I believe that the 1422 series Anschutz 22LR rifles exhibit the finest material and build quality along with their superior accuracy, of any other series. In my opinion, these models are the "sweet spot" among Anschutz 54 actioned Sporter's. They have high polished blued metal trigger guards, bottom metal and bolt knobs in contrast to the the plastic pieces manufactured today. This particular rifle is in MINT condition. I will call it a safe 99% to err on the side of conservancy. This beautiful piece of walnut is "top tier" amoung it's Anschutz counterparts exhibiting heel to toe fiddleback and is certainly of Meistergrade quality. Take a look at the new ones available and you can readily see the quality exuded in this example. If you have been on the hunt for a hand built "Flagship" 22 long rifle for your collection, you just found it. I have never fired the rifle and I do not believe it has been fired since it left the Anschutz factory in Ulm, West Germany in 1986. A very hard one to let go of, no apologies on this rifles condition. "Carpe Momentum".
