The model 597 features a super reliable bolt guidance system that uses twin tool-steel guide rails, and a unique positive locking, permanently rigid barrel attachment clamp. A cross bolt safety and a last shot 'hold open' bolt provide safe handling. A nickel-plated sear and hammer contribute to the crisp, smooth trigger pull that enhances accurate shooting.
