Offered here is an exquisite example of the highest quality engraving by Joseph Loy (Head engraver for Ithaca, featured on some high grade Parkers and noted engraver of the Lefever Optimus shotguns) Built in 1889 with beautiful upgrade 30" Damascus barrels that are Mirror bright. The gun is marked as a Grade 4, however, the engraving was obviously special ordered as it is far superior to any offered on Grade 4s. I have been unable to find a comparable one. The gun has been professionally restored with gorgeous English or possibly French walnut with original Butt plate and grip cap. Checkered with a Grade 4 pattern.
