Payment Types Accepted: Postal Money Order Description: Listed is a Model Mark II Martini-Henry Rifle that was converted to a smooth bore.This was rifle was cleaned up and had some repairs done to the stock. The gun is british proof marked but some of the markings on the left side of the receiver are not readable. The metal is in very good condition with some pitting on the butt plate and minor pitting under the barrel in places. The bore is in very good condition with no rifling's. The stock had a small split along the wrist caused by the stock bolt rusting and expanding. The bolt was removed cleaned, and the stock glued and pinned. The rear stock is solid. There were several small areas where rust destroyed the wood. These areas were repaired and new wood added. One of these areas was were the forearm pin went through as is shown in pictures. Serial number 16545 on both the receiver and on the barrel. This gun ended its career with either a police department or as a gun used in the prisons. It takes the standard shell but the riflings were removed. The ramrod is for looks only as it was badly rusted under the wood. The action is tight. SOLD Antique: Yes |
