In 1883, it was built in the United States by the Minneapolis Firearms Co. In 1892, the patent was purchased by Peter H. Finnegan who founded the Chicago Firearms Co. and started production of the “Protector Palm Pistol”.  This gun is made of steel with a nickel finish that is 98% intact. This chambers the .32 extra-short rimfire ammunition made by Remington. The barrel length is 1.5 inches and fires from a 7-shot internal cylinder. The right side of the frame is marked, in a circle, "Chicago Firearms Co. Caliber/ Gauge: .32 EXTRA SHORT RF." The serial number of this example is 36 of approximately 12,800 produced. The condition is near mint with a perfect bore and internals. All items are also available for sale in our brick & mortar store and are subject to prior sale. Think long, think wrong.
