*** SOLD *** CONDITION CONDITION CONDITION *** 1960’s vintage 16 gauge Francotte boxlock non-ejector in excellent condition. Shows few signs of use. Highly engraved, nicely figured European walnut stock, and great handling. Kersten cross-bolt for strength and double triggers. Weighs 6lbs 2oz. Serial number 23886. Another well-made double from this quality Belgian gunmaker. *** The 28” Siemens Martin Steel barrels are chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells and are equipped with extractors. They are topped by a raised solid tapered crosshatched rib. The right barrel is inscribed “Francotte’s Arms” and the left is inscribed “Liege” and lower down “Made in Belgium”. The right barrel is bored 0.667 with a constriction of 0.020 for Modified choke. The left barrel is also bored 0.667 and has a constriction of 0.025 for Full choke. The bluing is 99%+ and the bores are shiny. *** The straight grip stock and splinter forearm are made of nicely figured European walnut. Checkering is crisp. Stock dimensions are 14-1/2” over a factory plastic butt plate by 1-3/8” by 2-1/8”. Very slightly cast off for the righthanded shooter. The finish is in superb condition with only a very few minor handling marks. The butt plate has a few scratches. *** SPECIAL NOTE: This 16 gauge Belgian double is the first gun of a multi-gauge composed pair and may be purchased by itself or with its consecutively serial numbered 20 gauge mate which is listed separately.
