This Browning A-5 12G Magnum was a custom mfg by Browning's St Louis Plant and was obtained from Verhle Brown.
He was a Service and Parts Mgr for them at the time. It has a Browning St Louis Receiver and internal parts e/a Browning Miruku
Ventilated Barrel w/ Investor Chokes. I obtained from Mr. Brown about 1998. To save the wood I Had a vinyl stock installed.
The buttstock isan excellent rare French Swirled Walnut w/the correct browning Butt Pad and a matching also excellent forearm
This was standard issue for the magnums's back then.
I used it maybe 5 times and fired about 2 boxes of shells through it. It's in excellent condition.
The following investor chokes (Four) come with it : 1. W/4 Notches - Imp Cyl for Lead & Mod for Steel by Browning
2. Imp Cyl - SS for Lead XX by Colonial Arms. 3. 1 Notch Plus Full for Lead Only by Browning. 4th One is in the Barrel.
It has 3 - notches and is Modifies for lead and Full for steel. It also come w/ a Brownin Tool for easy installation and removal of any
of the invector chokes.
This is to me the most flexible type of a shotguns and yet has the reliablility of a semi-auto for Geese, Pheasant and Duck hunting.
