Up for sale is a beautiful Caesar Guerini Invictus V Trap Combo. This trap combo is chambered in 12 ga with a 34’’unsingle barrel and a 32’’ O/U barrel. The condition is excellent, maybe a few light and I mean light handling marks. The metal is like new. I don’t think the O/U barrels wherever fired. Thank a look at the barrel flats on both sets of barrels. This was a show pony for the previous owner. Just used I very rarely get a used Invictus V in the shop.MSRP on this combo set is $15,657. In 2014, as a result of our ongoing pursuit to make the most durable Target shotgun possible, we created the Invictus system. This design ushered in the most significant advancement in over-under durability in many years. Now we are introducing the DPS trigger system in the new Invictus V Trap. The system provides a remarkable improvement in weight, speed and take-up resulting in an ultra-crisp feel. We invite our customers to compare it to any target shotgun available today. All of the technology in the Invictus V Trap is complimented by the graceful side plate action with full-coverage engraving. This embellishment employs no fewer than four different engraving techniques, including many hours of hand engraving. The result is a stunning example of contemporary Italian Ornato style engraving with deep relief game scenes.
The Invictus V is quite simply the perfect synthesis of technology and art.
A number of years ago we engaged in a study to determine if there was a technical solution for significantly increasing the long term durability of an over-and-under action; more specifically, the problem of an “off face” condition which is created by the barrel and action wearing to the point that there is an unsafe gap between the two. This condition typically spelled the end of a shotgun’s useful wear life. Caesar Guerini’s Invictus action is the first double gun to ever overcome this issue. Due to the modularity of the Invictus system the life span has been increased between 200 and 300% over the typical double gun. We feel this is a quantum leap forward in the evolution of over-and-under shotguns.
