Recently aquired this pistol from original owner who recently died. I believe he was original owner since new. Pistol looks new and unfired, but cant be sure. May have some grease in bore, I ran a swab through it and can see nothing visible and no spots are visible you see in pictures, but it may be slight freckling, the brown on the side of the barrel with the slide back is grease that rubs off with fingernail. The spot at the muzzle may be grease stain, it cannot be felt. I didnt want to run a brush through it. Sat in his dresser for years and oil was dried up. Serial number140577 which puts it in the 1954 to 1958 time frame 1-181,000.Excellent condition. Still has dreid grease on it. magazine looks like it was inserted several times. Has slight blueing wear on back of magazine only, also grease stain or slight rust staining from handling. Veiw pictures, I cannot detect anything to suggest this gun was fired or at least fired more than a few times, but I am no expert. It looks like over the 50 years the magazine was inserted for defense reasons but never fired. The owner of this pistol was not into guns but traveled the country extensively. Pistol should be cleaned as there is dried grease in spots yet. Even though this pistol is over 50 years old you still need to provide all ID and any other reqiurements your state demands such as FOID card.Buyer pays shipping.
