The .375 Dakota is dangerous game cartridge based on a 404 Jeffery case. It was designed by Don Allen, the founder of Dakota Arms of Sturgis, South Dakota. It was designed to stand with the .375 H&H Magnum. But the advantage is a rimless, beltless case that will function through a standard-length rifle action. With a 300 grain bullet it has a muzzle velocity right at 2600 fps and about 4500 ft. lbs. of muzzle energy. This cartridge will function very well on Cape Buffalo, Alaskan Brown Bear and Moose.
