Description:
I always get complements on this rifle. The case-hardening is deep in color and the stocks have attractive grain in them. The only flaws in the metal and wood finish are a very unfortunate scratch across the cheekpiece and wear marks from the original buckhorn sight. Luckily the scratch is slight and doesn't show unless the light is correct. I don't know when or who refinished the rifle. It appears as though it was an amatuer job based on the fit and finish. Regardless, it is still a great gun to own. The tang and combination sights make it a joy to shoot. It's good for cowboy matches and coyotes. And, in the end it's eye catching.
