Description:
Made for the Netherlands by DWM in 1927, serial number located on the front of the frame and under the barrel. Magazine is numbered 2116 and made for a German military pistol. Proofed with crown N on left-side of receiver and under the barrel, the finish appears to be an arsenal re-applied bluing and would rate 87%. Small parts exhibit traces of strawed finish.
Manufactured by DWM under contract for the Netherlands in 1927, this M.11 Luger 9mm pistol is one of only 3,820 delivered for the Dutch East Indies Company. The receiver is marked with a crown over "N" proof on the left-hand side, followed by the last two digits of the serial number. The chamber area is blank while the right side of the receiver is marked "KL". More crown over "N" proofs are also present on the bottom of the barrel and left side of the breechblock. The safety is marked "RUST", with the extractor bearing "GELADEN" marks on both sides. All numbers correspond, with the exception of the magazine, making this a valuable addition to any collection.
