The Spanish Army Armory, Madrid, bought 1,500 9mm Largo Astra Model 400 (1921) pistols in 1940. The serial range is 91,301 to 92,800. This gun is serial number 91,375. The 5.75"" barrel has a like new bore. The top rear of the slide is marked UNCETA Y COMPANIA over GUERNICA ESPANA over PISTOLA DE 9M/M (38) over MODELO 1921(400). The Franco Nationalist Regime military flaming bomb with an I inside inspection mark is on the left forward corner of the trigger guard. The serial number matches on the frame, slide, and barrel. The gun retains approx. 100% of its blue military finish. The checkered wood grips are like new. The action functions correctly. You won't find a nicer 1940 Spanish military pistol than this one. It obviously escaped issue and stayed in its box. If you're into Spanish or European automatic pistols, this one is for you.
