Colt SAA 38 WCF Long Fluted,30%+ blue 15% case color, a good bore, 5 ½” barrel, Manufactured in Hartford Connecticut in 1914 on top of the barrel is the one line Colt address on the left side of the barrel is 38 W.C.F. On the left side of the frame is two line patent address with the rampant horse comes with two piece hard rubber grips mechanically in good condition with tight cylinder lockup in single-action this is an all matching serial number. Comes with a factory letter this gun was shipped to Farwell, Ozmun, Kirk & Company St. Paul, Minnesota on February 2, 1914 in a 1 gun Shipment Serial Number 3308XX This Gun “Will need a “C&R or FFL” In 1913
Colt found themselves with an excess of surplus 1878 Double Action cylinders and they outside periphery) and use them in the Single Actions. Less than 1500 long flute SAA's were built. Since the other model cylinders had already been fabricated with the long flute, those Colt SAA's had that feature. used them to build SAA's longflute. Since they were basically the same dimensions as Single Action cylinders, they decided to make the small modifications required (Namely Bolt notches on the Colt SAA revolvers manufactured between 1913-1915, they produced in all three barrel links a total of 207 guns in the 38 W.C.F.
