RARE HALL NORTH U.S. MODEL 1843 BREECH-LOADING PERCUSSION CARBINE. .52 caliber rifled 21” round barrel inspected at the breech “JP”. Breech block stamped ‘U.S./S. NORTH/MIDLTN/CONN/”. Crisp U.S. Ordnance Inspector’s cartouche on left side of stock behind ring bar. All original and complete in fine condition. Metal with deep plum brown finish mixed with patina. Stock with all the original finish and very sharp edges about the side panels. Perfect working order and very good bore. Used in both the Mexican War and the Civil War. Extra nice 100% original example.
