SUPERIOR NELSON LEWIS TROY, NEW YORK PERCUSSION SIDE X SIDE DOUBLE RIFLE CIRCA 1850. 30” round barrels signed on rib “N. LEWIS MAKER TROY, N.Y.”. Original windage adjustable nickel blade front sight and elevator rear sight. Right barrel rifled .38 caliber. Left barrel smoothbore .50 caliber. Case hardened island back action locks with the original Dolphin head hammers and browned barrels with nearly all the original finish. Original Nelson Lewis windage adjustable “Lollypop” folding tang sight. Double triggers. Walnut stock with German silver butt plate, trigger guard and patchbox. German silver “DEER” head inlay on cheek rest and German silver wedge escutcheons and ramrod thimble. Original ramrod. Top all original condition and excellent bright bores.
