Tony Galazan and his Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company is the King of the Model 21 world. First having "AUTHORIZED REPAIR CENTER" status, then buying out U.S. Repeating Arms of all their inventory and completing Model 21 guns with said inventory, to becoming the sole builder of the famous Model 21 in his own factory, CSMC has earned its reputation for building Winchester’s Model 21 in all its glory. CSMC has created numerous Model 21 guns that would be considered the finest examples of gun art, with incredible engraving and inlays. However, the bulk of the Grand American Grade CSMC Model 21 guns I have observed have engraving devoid of real depth and detail compared to the Grand American guns produced by Winchester. Occasionally one of the earlier CSMC Model 21 guns surfaces with truly stunning engraving, having the depth of cuts, the details and background shading in the scroll work, and detailed raise gold engraved dogs and game birds as part of their motif. THIS GRAND AMERICAN HAS THE BEST ENGRAVING YOU WILL FIND ON A CSMC MODEL 21…TRULY MASTERFUL. In fact, this gun is engraved with much more detail than any of the late guns that came out of USRAC in the last 10 years of Winchester production. This Grand American 12ga. snW38346 produced as a 2-barrel set with 30” and 32” ventilated rib barrels and stunningly figured EXHIBITION WALNUT WITH B CARVED WOOD AND CHECKERING, is a fine example of the gunmaker’s art. The wood is gorgeous and is in superb condition, having no cracks or repairs. The gun has been used over the years and displays very few minor handling marks in the wood. The barrels, action, trigger guard, and forend iron retains 99.5% of the original blue with little-to-no handling marks or wear. The gun is mechanically perfect in all ways and has excellent shooting dimensions. See the specifications below for all the details, but the 30” barrels are choked IC/M and the 32” set is choked IM/F. The gun and 2 sets of barrels are housed in a fine oak and leather case. We can custom fit the case to the gun and add a maker’s trade label and all accessories within 10 days of purchase if you want to create a presentation style case. We have priced the gun very reasonably and please…look the photos over closely. This is NOT the usual CSMC or late Winchester engraved gun. This gun is superior in all ways. There are many 12ga. Model 21 guns to choose from, but how do you know which one to buy??? I suggest that you only buy a valuable investment quality shotgun if you know for sure what you are getting. You need details to make an informed choice…details that most other sellers simply do not provide like bore diameter, barrel wall thicknesses, stock dimensions, chokes and other specifics that make a big difference in value. And how about photos that will really let you see the gun and its condition before you spend your hard-earned money? If you like one our guns but it needs "tweaked", let us know and we can quote you a time and price. Some enthusiasts like the guns "as found" and others want them "just so".
