Antique Persussion .41 caliber Long rifle with "TRUITT BRO & CO./PHILADA" stamped on top of the barrel. The rifle comes a 40" octagon barrel, 13/16" across the flats, with a plum brown finish. The Rifle looks like it may have been converted from flintlock to percussion. The percussion lock seems to be smaller then the original lock plate inlet. The lock plate is stamped "PARTRIDGE". The stock has a raised comb, and what looks like a painted tiger mable/walnut finish. The rifle has double set triggers, brass furniture, a patch box, fixed sights, and stripped wooden ram rod. At the rear of the tang appears to be a home made peep sight.

Condition:

Rifle appears to be in working condition, the double set triggers, and lock mechanism works as designed. The barrel shows small nicks from handling, corrosion around the breech, and a dent on the the edge of the top barrel flat by the breech plug. The stock shows dings, light impressions on the wood ,and a chip above the lock, but no signs of cracks. Barrel pins are missing from the stock. Please see pictures.
