Description:
This gun is a mint condition, fully engraved, Smith & Wesson Model 640-1 double action only revolver in .357 Smith & Wesson Magnum caliber. The serial number is BUA7206. This particular variant was manufactured in 1996. This is built on the 3-screw magnum frame with the cylinder stop machined into the frame. The revolver has a five-shot fluted cylinder, a 2-1/8 inch full lug barrel, a round butt, a smooth trigger, and a pinned black ramp front sight. It does not have an internal lock.
The gun is deeply and fully engraved featuring a highly polished finish and what is termed full coverage American style engraving pattern. The Certificate of Engraving that accompanies the gun is dated 11/30/17. The gun has custom grip panels of horn with Smith & Wesson escutcheons at the top of the grip on either side. Also included with the gun is a Smith & Wesson rosewood locking chest and the associated keys.
