Description:
This is a RARE early cartridge Colt that was factory converted from a Model 1862 Police during the civil war. Originally Percussion And converted to cartridge by Colt a few years later .38 rimfire. The gun has all matching serial numbers putting the mfg date at 1862. Also the barrel length as quite rare as well. Approximately 20,000 Pocket Police were made. Grips are very good with much of the original varnish remaining. Cylinder has excellent scene with an even light brown patina. Action works great.
