We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Shipping insurance is available upon request for an extra fee. We cannot do international sales. As of November 2019, we no longer ship guns to California and Hawaii.

The modern variation of the 627 is very different from the original 627 introduced in 1989. The Pro Series Model 627-5 represents one of Smith & Wesson’s attempts to take full advantage of the N frame’s size and advancements in modern metallurgy. The original Model 627, like the Model 27 before it, chambered 6 rounds of the .357 Magnum. Those advances in metallurgy, however, have allowed S&W to add an additional two chambers for a total of 8 shots. While this was possible with the original 627, Smith & Wesson simply chose to stick the usual routine back in 1989. As one of the Performance Center’s special models, the Pro Series comes with a few features not found on the typical S&W revolver. These include a PC-enhanced action, chamfered charge holes, custom barrel with recessed precision crown, a bossed mainspring, and a cylinder cut for moon clips. With a barrel length of 4.0 inches, the Pro Series M627-5 is best suited to home defense or target shooting. To help, the front sight has been painted bright red by the factory for easier visibility in low-light conditions. Practicing with the .38 Special would be easy as the gun’s weight combined with the .38’s already low recoil would provide for a very smooth shooting revolver. This new in the box revolver is ready to go.
