Description:
"Made 1860s. 70 caliber with a 29 ½" barrel. This gun is in Flintlock configuration despite being made later than the traditional flintlock period. This is a real deal Indian trade musket that has all the signs of Indian use. The metal is untouched and in “attic condition with a dark brown patina. Wood shows heavy use. The stock has been decorated with brass tacks. The butt plate is missing which was common on Indian guns as they used the butt plates for hide scrapers. This gun has the typical enlarged trigger guard and serpentine side plate of trade muskets. Both the lock and barrel has the H. E. Leman markings. Very neat Indian used trade musket!
