Description:
This is a nice clean all original Smith and Wesson 32 Double Action Revolver. Antique Pre-1898 serial number under 209,000. This one is an 1880's vintage 4th Model in the 120,000 serial range with all matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, and latch. Patent dates go up to 1882 and does not have the 1889 date so made prior to that. Finish is nickel with case colored hammer, trigger, blued latch and trigger guard. Standard S&W monogrammed checkered hard rubber grips. Great markings...nice mechanics and bore. 98% original nickel finish. These nicer ones are getting very tough to find as the foreign buyers and exporters run through all the shows buying them up. As a result, many of these have been shipped over to Europe because they are considered antique. We used to find these all the time but they have really dried up in the past 5-10 years. .This one turned up at a small show and just came out of an estate.
