Description:
IN 1847 COLT made 1100 Walker pistols, he had a bunch of parts unused or salvageable and decided to make a run from his new Hartford factory now known as the Whitneyville-Hartford Dragoon. Early on there were no rules on markings, placement , stampings etc. he did this because he lost money on the Walker production. The new run of pistols used all available walker leftover or salvageable parts and newly made Hartford barrels. My pistol sn 1115 in wonderful condition with no mickey moused parts ,screws etc an honest gun. i have done a ton of research on this pistol and would have to type untold pages to decribe my findings, it comes with an orig holster that had a discharge at one time long ago and is perfectly molded o the pistol, i have ided the possible orig owner as the left grip has remnants of the orig owner either Nathan Moody from louisiana or Noah V. Moody of Texas- i have had a wonderful oak case for the pistol made in england- the gun also comes with an original Colt Civilian Walker flask with period mountings. will accept good funds and or a part trade of classic car or muscle car.. please feel free to contact me for all questions. i believe this was a factory sneak piece or given as payment to a Colt factory employee to keep or sell.
