Description:
Winchester Model 1894 Sporting Rifle .38-55 with factory ordered 26 inch Round Barrel and Shotgun Butt. The serial number of this example is 3482XX placing date of manufacture in 1905. Overall condition is excellent with the Barrel and Magazine Tube retaining 98+% of the original and untouched factory rust blue. The bore is as new and will rate a 10 on a 1 to 10 scale. The bore is bright and shiny from muzzle to breech and shows no evidence of use. The receiver has retained 96% of its original factory blue with the loading gates "Fire Blue" at 100%. The front sight is a "Hunter" with Ivory bead also correct and probably original to this 1894. Brilliant "Case Colors" remain on the Hammer and Lever. The Shotgun Butt is correct with 100% of the original factory varnish remaining on the stock and forearm. A very nice early 1894, untouched and will letter with the Cody Museum.
