Winchester Model 1886 Sporting Rifle .40-65wcf. Very rare item to see these days. Special Order 26 inch "Extra Heavy Barrel" with high finish "Extra fancy walnut Stock" The serial number of this example is 566XX placing date of manufacture in 1891. Overall condition is fine with the barrel and magazine retaining approx. 50% of the original factory finish toned to a very nice even blue / gray patina. The bore is way above average. Bright and shinny from breech too muzzle. The bore will rate a 9 on a 1 to 10 scale. The receiver is silvered out with case colors lite in protected areas. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. The wood is gorgeous with strong grain pattern possibly 2X. Very nice untouched Extra Heavy Barrel in a very rare caliber.
