Colt's Model 1860 Army Cap and Ball .44 revolver Martially marked. The serial number of this example is 78278 placing date of manufacture in 1861-62. Overall condition is good with a patina finish. Navel Battle scene still present on the cylinder, hard to see in photos due to patina. All matching serial numbers. Cocks, Locks and Snaps. The Barrel length of this example is 8 inches. Strong Rifling. One nipple missing (easily replaced). "A" and "D" inspectors initials present on the cylinder. "H" will be seen on the unpolished trigger guard.
