Description:
These are very rare and highly prised swords made in Nashville and the factory was destroyed in 5.5 months. nearly all the original leather is in place with the original wire and the original leather blade washer nost often gone. The 31" blade is bright with no sharpening nor nicks, of note on the right side of the blade although weak is CSA in block letters. the scabbard is original with lapped seam and wonderful mounts there are no pushes or dents in the scabbard which is very rare these had hard use during the war and are prized by collectors having the stippled brass guard with moulded CSA ON THE FRONT FACE OF THE GUARD.
