Description:
Here is an honest and original Simson & Co 12 gauge shotgun manufactured before WWII. This shotgun features 28" barrels choked Full/Full, a solid rib, double triggers, factory sling swivels, lifters, and checkered walnut furniture. This Simson is in very great overall condition and is numbers matching. Simson & Co was a German manufacturing company which produced many items including firearms from 1856-1938. Under the Third Reich, the factory was taken from the Simson family and they were forced to flee the country. This shotgun retains much of its original blue finish with the exception of slight high-edge wear, scattered handling marks, and one scratch just behind the front bead. The checkered walnut forend and stock are in very great condition with no signs of cracking, just various light handling marks, and one small chip on the right side of the forend. The factory checkering is still sharp and shows no signs of excessive wear. All the factory marking are crisp and visible, and the screw heads show no signs of excessive wear or mistreatment. The bores are bright, with no signs of pitting, and the action locks up tight. Don't miss out on this opportunity to own a cool piece of history!
