Description: Desirable Remington Model 241 semi auto rimfire rifle in caliber 22 Short (commands a 20% premium per the Blue Book of Gun Values) (only, will not shoot long rifle), walnut stocks, pistol grip, loading tube located in butt stock, 15 shot capacity, 24" round barrel with correct open sights and special order Lyman Tang Sight that is correct for this rifle, blued finish, take down frame, approximately 132,000 made between 1935 and 1951. This one is serial number 112358, matching on the left side of the receiver and the underside of the barrel. Possilbe a "B-Grade" rifle as the stocks are of fancier grain than your average rifle but not checkered, so it's not a "C-Grade" gun. CONDITION: Except for a couple of discoloration spots of bluing on the receiver and the barrel, the bluing is all there and rates at 96%. Beautiful unmarred stocks have all the original finish and, as previously stated, some beautiful deluxe grain flow in the forearm. Bore is mint and the take down is tight. Fully operational, including the tang sight, loading tube and push button safety. Barrel date code is "P TT" putting manufacture in June 1948. With the Remington bankruptcy, any Ilion-made Remington has become a collector's prize, so don't miss this one!
