Description:
Serial #763068, .25 WCF (.25-20), 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1914-made rifle that has retained 85-90% of the original blue finish with silvering at the muzzle, and gray fading along the high edges and projections. Additional gray fading is present along the underside of the frame, and some further plum-brown along the sides. Muted original color case-hardening can still be seen on the lever, as well as traces of an old, applied black protective finish within the interior of the loop. The walnut forend and buttstock are in fine original condition, with some small handling marks and superficial blemishes in the original finish. The original metal buttplate is mostly gray, and the action is tight and fully functional. The original semi-buckhorn rear sight is still present (minus the elevator), and both a Lyman sporting bead front sight, and flip-up tang sight are installed. This is a truly nice ’92 rifle, in fine-near excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
