Description:
Beautiful little 20ga Parker that started life in 1936 as a single trigger, auto ejectors VHE 20ga gun. It was commissioned as an upgrade to Larry Del Grego and Robert Runge in 1987 and completed in 1988 with complete original documentation accompanying the gun. The gun is an original 26" ejector gun with single trigger. After being masterfully upgraded it now sports a carved and checkered beavertail forend with fully engraved release. The action is fully engraved in Runge A-1 Special late Remington style with floral scroll. Breach and muzzle ends of barrels are also scroll engraved. Very highly straight grip buttstock with carving and checkering as well as fleur-de-lis. Gun has a fully engraved and blued skeleton buttplate. Action is signed in tiny font by R. Runge on bottom corner as seen in the photo.
This gun remains unfired since being upgraded and is truly near mint in every regard. Virtually all of the beautiful custom finish remains on both wood and metal surfaces.
With the original paperwork regarding the upgrade, and being a signed example, this is among the most collectible of the upgrades.
