Description:
Remington Model 31 TC, 12 gauge pump action shotgun. The 31 was Remington's answer to the Winchester Model 12; and in many peoples' opinion the 31 is truly a superior made gun. The vent rib is milled from the same block of steel as the barrel...The receiver is milled from a solid block of steel and the action is "glass" smooth. This gun is a TC which features a beautiful pistol grip buttstock which is very nicely checkered to match the forearm.
This gun is most sought after configuration: 30" vent rib barrel, full (.035") choke and the gun is unaltered except that years ago the original recoil pad was replaced with a Pachmayr white line pad. The stock has a 14 5/8" LOP with 1 7/16" DAC and 1 3/4" DAH.
Condition: The metal retains 97% original blue with a little edge wear. The wood is similar. Mechanically excellent. 8 lbs. 2 oz. According to the barrel stampings this gun was made in February, 1948. Production ceased in 1949
