An Early U.S. Civil War Harpers Ferry Model 1841 Mississippi Rifle Dated 1851 In Original Unaltered .54 Caliber And In Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The rifle has fine metal and markings Throughout. It is dated 1851 on both the lock and the barrel. The barrel is also inspected "WW/P". Both the lock and barrel on the rifle have a dark chocolate brown natural color to them. All of the brass hardware on the gun is untouched with a darkening mellow color to it. The wood is fine throughout with nice edges to it. Their is a very clear "JLR" Inspectors Mark on the wood inside the patchbox. The Rifle has a fine action and very good bore. This A Very Untouched And Fine Looking Example Of An Early U.S. Civil War Harpers Ferry Model 1841 Mississippi Rifle That Would Be A Fine Addition To Any Civil War Collection! !
