Description:
This rifle with long scope is as beatiful example of a period rifle.  The rifle is marked by its maker, A. Buselmeier, who was a German gunmaker who immigrated to the United States in the 1840s.  The barrel is half octoganal and the other halp rounded with a light aged patina.  It is marked "A. Buselmeier, Ukiah Cal".   The rare long scope runs the length of the barrel at approximately 30" and is in remarkable shape.  The percussion lock is crisp and mechanically sound.

This rifle is an amazing piece of American history and is one of the most beautiful examples of mid 1800s rifle craftsmanship.  It would immediately become an important piece to any collection.
