Description:
This is an Allen black powder pepperbox made in 1845. The metal barrel body and wood grips have a beautiful dark patina and no rust pitting. The mechanics are also tight and perfectly functioning. The pepperbox has a six shot cylinder that rotates counter clockwise. It is marked on the top side with "Allen Patent 1845".
This is a very cool piece of Americn history.
