Winchester Model 1892 Standard Rifle fitted with a 24 inch round barrel, full length tube magazine, buck-horn rear sight, Walnut forearm, Walnut stock with steel crescent butt-plate, blue finished with color case-hardened hammer, lever and butt-plate, and chambered in .25-20 WCF. This 1913 vintage Model 1892 is in excellent original condition, with the barrel and tube retaining 95% original blue, the receiver approximately 50%, with most loss due to flaking. The hammer and lever retain approximately 25% original color case-hardened finish, and the butt-plate has lost all of its finish and has turned a brown/silver grey patina. The bore is beautiful, is bright with sharp rifling. The action is tight and functions perfectly. The stock and forearm fit tight and retain most all of their orignal finishes, with assorted handling marks. The loading gate and trigger look like new and all screw-heads are un-molested, even the small sight screws. A nice and very clean 1892, appearing to having been fired very little.
