Description:
This gun is as it left the factory 92 YEARS ago ! Of course it has aged but nothing is missing or has been added or has been modified or refinished. That makes this a very rare bird ! Thus Remington model 12 with its 24" octogen barrel, correct original iron sights, was built in 1929.
Sure doesn't look that old. The wood is excellent, no splits or cracks . The metal is original with a few age signs, nothing serious.
The bore is perfect. From looking at the condition inside and out I question whether this gin has been shot much at all. I test fire using a bench rest.
I shot three 3 shot groups each at 30 yards . Each group was inside a nickel, one inside a dime ( and I'm 80 ) .
One more thing. It won't be long till Remington will be hard to find. Prices are going up up up.
