This is a flat-mint and never-modified 1971-manufacture "Old Model" Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt, complete with both original factory boxes, all of the factory paperwork, and even the anti-rust shipping paper. This 3-screw Blackhawk has a 7.5" inch barrel and appears to be totally unfired since shipping from the factory. It is as pristine as you will ever see, they really don't get any better or more complete than this. This Blackhawk was made the first year this model variation was offered in .45 Long Colt, 1971. The Ruger Blackhawk is one of the all-time classic American-made revolvers, long proven a superb single-action revolver that was extremely well-made, reliable, and very accurate. This particular example is spectacular with the original gloss blue finish bright and clean, rating 99%. You will have to look very hard to find anything worthy of a 1% total deduction, it looks like it was made last week rather than 50 years ago. The bore is mirror-bright with pristine, sharp rifling throughout the barrel. The 6 chambers of the cylinder are equally as clean and perfect. The original black anodized finish on the triggerguard and grip frame is flawless, and all of the screws in the gun have perfect un-marred slots. The factory-polished bright sides of the hammer are also flawless, free from any staining, discoloration, or damage. All of the grain in the metal is still visible on both sides of the hammer, just as it should be unless polished after leaving the factory. Both grip panels look like-new, free from any marring, scratches, dings, chips, cracks or repairs. Both grip panels match each other perfectly and are perfectly fit to the gun with no wiggle. The black and silver Ruger medallions in either grip are like-new. The action on this Blackhawk is crisp, smooth, and precise. It is in perfect time, and all of the controls on this Ruger are in perfect working order. This Ruger has obviously spent it's entire life in storage, and as mentioned before, it was never sent back to the factory for the hammer-bar safety. This Old Model Blackhawk comes with everything it shipped from the factory with, all of which is just as nice as the gun itself.
