Description:
This Savage Model 1899 Takedown was made in 1917 and is in very good condition. It appears to have the original buttstock, grip cap and buttplate. The stock has been carved to make it a true "Bear Gun." It appears that it has been nicely reblued and does not appear to have the original fore end. It has a tang mounted peep sight that is a nice complement to the barrel mounted rear sight. This rifle is would make a great shooter for the hunter who wants to hunt in old-school style without any plastic on the rifle. This rifle is a real "gem" (see bear's eye). .250-3000 Savage
