This is a handsome, small-hinge revolver that uses a Pryse-type manual barrel latch that swings up and forward in order to break open the gun for loading. The extractor is non-rebounding, and the lock-up is still tight, with only a hint of lateral play in the barrel. The metal retains about 70-75% of the original bright blue with the balance faded to mottled gray, and with silvering along the high and exposed edges. The retailer name is engraved along the barrel rib: "E.C. GREEN HIGH ST. CHELTENHAM", and "STEEL" is stamped twice into the cylinder. The checkered walnut grip is in fine shape, with scattered minor handling marks in the original oil finish on both sides. The action remains fully functional and the revolver rates fine condition overall. These revolvers are very rarely seen in North America, and this example would make a great addition to any collection.
