Description:
Serial #(Series 2) 37782, 7.7mm Arisaka, 26" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a Nagoya marked rifle with standard rear sight and scrubbed ‘mum, and has matching numbers on the bolt components, including the firing pin. The metal has retained about 75-80% original blue which blends with a mellow plum-brown patina on the balance. Some further silvering and gray fading is present on the high and exposed edges, as well as on the bearing surfaces of the bolt. The stock and handguard are in fine shape with scattered light-moderate handling marks and surface blemishes throughout the original varnish finish, and moderate pitting and surface oxidation on the steel buttplate. The cleaning rod is missing. This is a fine example of a souvenir Type 99 rifle overall. FFL or C&R
