Description:
Serial #3176, .22 RF, 2 ½ inch barrel with a partially rough bore. This the Eclipse model Derringer manufactured by Iver Johnson from 1871-1899. The metal surfaces on this diminutive hideout derringer retain about 85-90% original nickel finish, the flaked areas a plum brown showing light pitting on some of those areas, the left side of the barrel prominently marked “Eclipse". The bird's head shaped walnut grips both rate very good with some trace original varnish and very light wear. The spur trigger gun functions properly mechanically, barrel swings out to the side and has a tight lock up. With total quantity unknown this is an excellent surviving specimen. Antique
