Description:
A fine tiger grain hardwood percussion .48cl. rifle with interesting appointments, About .48 cal., 32” octagon barrel with a lightly oxidized, about good bore. The barrel is a soft plum brown patina with pewter undertones, simple blade and fixed flat top rear sight and oxidation around the nipple bolster. A more modern muzzleloader made by a craftsman, the lockplate is from a percussion shotgun and marked “W & C Scott & Son” showing tight English bank note scroll chisel engraving, with a game bird and dog scene and is a silvery patina. All of the brass hardware is a dull goldenrod patina and shows some very engraving on the patch box. The stock actually appears to be a curly grade of birch rather than maple, but may indeed be some manner of maple, it is well constructed with generous proportions and slightly interesting  features. There is no half-cock rest, the nipple skirt is chipped, but doesn't effect shooting , the trigger has an early feature, where it must be manually reset for the arm to cock and a tiger striped ramrod is included. Overall a very unusual crafted unique rifle, rhat shows up well.Check my inventory for unusual and rare gun parts and other items. I  work  hard to find unusual items, and  try to keep the price affordable. My   descriptions are what I see, good , bad, ugly, etc. when listing. Rarely do I miss something in listing.  If you buy and item and are not satisfied let me know immediately rather than leave negative feedback, we  can come to some arrangement that will make you happy. I describe items to the best of my ability, however, sometimes it’s a good guess, as I don’t take things apart and sell, I find huge quantities of stuff from other people, not described by them. I think that several photos and several measurements should work for you. If you’re not sure an item will fit, best to not buy. All listings have a return privilege.  Sometimes I travel for my job and I’m not here for three or four days. I ship as soon as I can but  not  always immediately. Please be patient. Thank you for having confidence in me  and  .
