Description:
For your consideration, a 98 Mauser action custom rifle chambered in .338 Winchester Magnum. The nationality and manufacture of the action is unknown, however, the lack of a stripper clip guide rules out military origins. The action, scope base, bolt handle, bottom metal, bolt rear, pistol grip cap, and half of the barrel have been gorgeously engraved with acanthus scroll work. Topping the action is a Leupold Vari-X-III 2.5×8 scope in a Redfield base. This is supplemented by a folding peep rear and bronze inset front sight. The bolt body is jeweled. The stock is checkered wrist and forend and features a beaded cheekpiece and horn forend tip. Included is a model 3F sling by the George Lawrence Saddlery which has been tooled in a pattern matching the receiver engraving motif. The sling swivels are likewise engraved. All in all, a gorgeous addition to any collection. .338 Winchester Magnum
