Description:
This is a model 61 Winchester in 22 Magnum rimfire that was built in 1961. This gun shows little use, and maintains 98% original deep factory blue, with the exception of a few corrosion blems that I have photographed (photo 5). The grooved reciever shows no evidence that a scope has ever been installed. All script and proof marks are crystal clear, and the 24" barrel has the original sight package intact, with a mint bore. The walnut stocks are highly figured and have a nice dark color to them. The stocks retain their original factory finish, with only the slightest of handeling marks, and would rate 98% as well. This is about as nice as you could hope to find a desirable 22 Magnum model 61.
