Description:
Selling a Browning model 1886 lever action rifle. This gun is absolutely beautiful. .45-70 caliber with gold engraving elk scene on one side and a Buffalo on the other. Receiver and lever are in the white. The engraving is signed T Naka. Engraved on the top 1 of 3000. I own several browning 1886 and in my opinion the wood on this one is particularly special. My memory tells me that this gun was manufactured in 1992. When I purchased it from a collector he told me that it had never been fired, and I have never fired it either. Having not purchased it new, I can not guarantee it has never been fired. Highly regarded as one of John Brownings best lever action designs. These were made for a few years to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the design. This is the high grade. The gun really does show very close to perfect with just a few very very slight imperfections. I can't really highlight any particular blemishes,, but I'm sure it has some from general handling. This is a gun that I own personally, I am not a dealer. My interests in guns are evolving and I am making room for a few recent additions.
