Description:
Factory Engraved Manton & Co. Boxlock Double rifle in excellent condition. This rifle is in .450/.400 Nitro Express and is marked for "3 1/4 CASE" as written on the barrel. The case-hardened action displays beautiful floral scroll enraging that covers nearly the entire surface, and extends to the trigger guard and both tangs. It has a single extractor, period London nitro proofs, and replacement buttpad. This rifle also features bushed firing pins, double triggers, and an automatic tang safety with gold inlay. The steel grip cap is engraved and has blank silver inscription oval. Very good reblued finish, mostly darkened gray patina with some traces of case colors on the action, and some scattered pitting in the wood junctions. Wood has some light handling and wear at the forend. SN: 70278 None
